On 16 June 2025, the VTskills project was proudly featured in the international webinar “Digitalization for Agriculture: Introduction Criteria, Needs and Perspectives”, organized by the University of Florence. The event gathered experts, researchers, and students to explore the role of digital technologies in advancing sustainable practices in agriculture.
Featuring speakers from the University of Florence and the University of Seville, this event highlighted innovative approaches to digital transformation in agriculture, including:
- Digital transformation in viticulture – Prof. Manuel Pérez-Ruiz (University of Seville) will present insights from the VTskills project.
- AI-driven intra-row weed control – Alessia Nizzoli (PhD student, University of Seville).
- Crop water stress monitoring with UAV and ground platforms – Luis Sánchez (PhD student, University of Seville).
- Aerial robotics for spraying applications – Dott. Andrea Pagliai (University of Florence).
- UAVs in heroic viticulture – Celine Russo (PhD student, University of Florence).
- Variable rate spraying for sustainable precision viticulture – Prof. Daniele Sarri (University of Florence).
